The Abha Yoga Difference - Yoga as It Is

Yoga as it is known today is mostly physical group exercises and infused with trendy marketing, and new & improved versions promising to be better for you. Yoga is beyond all this. Classical Yoga, the 8-Limbed Yoga of "Patanjali" or "Raja" Yoga, is vast body of body and has maintained its integrity and has helped people reach their highest potential without all the marketing gimmicks or causing injuries. Yoga is an individual journey that allows you to experience your and universal truths, and was taught individually or to small groups by the guru based on the student needs. Abha Yoga honors this perspective and classical tradition:

- Small group training and personalized sessions. Yoga is vast and can help many conditions, but the prescription is not the same for all. For example, if you are feeling stressed, anxious, and overwhelmed, Abha would not recommend the usual intense yoga workout, movement after movement with no stillness in poses. The ideal would be a slower paced calming practice with deep breathing. The tendency is to continue the same things which caused the problems, and the opposite of what you need.

- Abha Yoga is not new and improved Yoga, fusion, and modifications to meet modern health industry standards. It is an inward journey; less distractions and hype accelerate this multi-dimensional deeper dive. Yoga is a living Art & Science, requires experiments and experiences, not just recitation and repetition.

- Abha, your yoga mentor has the background, lifestyle mastered through years of study and practice, and a connection to its wisdom. Abha is student of Yoga, not a swami with a following or an athletic trainer. She simply uses her knowledge of Yoga, "Ayurveda", and Healing practices learnt over 40+ years to offer the optimal training.

Abha Yoga encourages focus on more than the body. Everyone can benefit. If you already practice Yoga "Asanas", it may be time to experience deeper levels. If you are just starting, begin with the right foundation and minimize unhealthy habits (which will take efforts to rectify).
